The high school student Jon Budina from Albania is the first young filmmaker to receive support to make a short film, within the Edu Cuts network, which supports young people in the Western Balkans. Jon rshot his debut film "Mone" during July, and during this month the editing will be completed. With this film, Jon will apply to film directing studies in Romania, and then he will apply to participate in film festivals.

Jon's film is one of three projects selected to receive support with free use of filmmaking equipment as a result of two online workshops mentored by Stefan Arsenijević and Vanja Kovacević from the First film First platform. At the workshops over thirty filmmakers from all countries of the Western Balkans participated. The remaining two films are expected to be shot during October and November this year.
