EDU CUTS Talks - Fostering Youth Creativity Through Workshops and Networking in Skopje

Through the EDU CUTS Talks conference, participants will also have the opportunity to learn from Dokuniklulci, young filmmakers who took part in the Makedox Documentary Film Festival.

Fostering youth creativity through workshops and networking is the focus of this year’s Giffoni Macedonia Youth Film Festival, organized by the EDU CUTS network of film festivals and organizations, with support from the British Council. Young people from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Albania, and Serbia are participating in five workshops covering film photography, storyboarding, performance and musical workshops, the basics of short film making, and painting.

These workshops are led by professionals with extensive experience working with youth: photography professor Elena Bojadjieva Cvetkovska, comic authors Zdravko Girov and Davor Dramikjanin from the association 'MAKSTRIPOVI', violinist and writer Lada Shoptrajanova Petrovska, director Sasha Stanishic, and academic painter Dijana Tomic Radevska.

Through the EDU CUTS Talks conference, participants will also have the opportunity to learn from Dokuniklulci, young filmmakers who took part in the Makedox Documentary Film Festival.

Networking for this event began several weeks earlier, when 24 teenagers from these eight countries participated in the Teen Doc Workshop from August 20 to 27 in Užice, Serbia.

The EDU CUTS Talks conference is a part of the EDU CUTS network, supported by the British Council through the Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans (CC4WBs) project.

EDU CUTS network gathers film festivals and organizations that are focused on the promotion and implementation of education and mobility of young talents. (www.educuts.com)
