 TEEN DOC 2026: PROGRAMME

The Teen Doc Workshop is carried out in two phases:

Phase One (July – August, online)

Online workshops

– During July and August, two online workshops will be held, giving participants the chance to get to know each other and gain basic knowledge in media literacy.

The media literacy workshop will be led by Ikonija Jeftić, a producer and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.

Phase Two (18 – 24 August, in person – Požega)

Documentary film production

– Over the course of this seven-day workshop in Požega, participants will acquire knowledge and skills in creative documentary filmmaking in an engaging, hands-on way. Through teamwork and with the support of mentors and consultants, they will create three short documentaries (each up to 7 minutes long), going through the entire process – from the initial idea to the final version of the film.

The documentaries will be produced under the mentorship of award-winning director Luka Papić from Belgrade, with additional guidance from mentors such as Elena Melloncelli – a cinematographer and filmmaker from North Macedonia / Italy, Milena Đurić – a producer and cultural and communications manager from Montenegro, and Dejan Petrović, director and professor at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade. They will also be supported by peer educators, former Teen Doc participants.

The Youth Jury Award – Interaction Festival

Participants of the Teen Doc Workshop will serve as members of the Youth Jury at the Interaction Festival, which takes place simultaneously with the Workshop. Teen Doc participants will have the opportunity to watch outstanding short documentaries from around the world at the Interaction Festival and, from the 15 films in the competition programme, select the one to receive the Youth Jury Award for Best Film.
