24 teenagers participated in the Edu Cuts Teen Doc Workshop

The workshop allowed the teenagers to expand their creative skills and meet other young talents and together explore new forms of creativity and expression through documentary film.

24 teenagers from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Albania and Serbia participated in the Teen Doc Workshop from August 20 to 27 in the city of Užice, Serbia. The seven-day educational program was intended for motivated high school students, eager to gain additional knowledge about creative documentary filmmaking, to expand their creative skills, as well as to engage with young talents from different countries. Renowned documentarians from the region of the Western Balkans - Vladimir Perović (Serbia, Montenegro) and Hanis Bagashov (North Macedonia) guided the young people through the secrets of documentary.

The workshop allowed the teenagers to expand their creative skills and meet other young talents and together explore new forms of creativity and expression through documentary film. Attendees engaged in hands-on activities, participated in discussions that encourage critical thinking and intercultural dialogue, and collaborated in the creation of four short documentaries. All participants of the workshop were members of the youth jury of the Interaction festival that takes place together with the workshop and chose the best film.

The Interaction: Teen Doc workshop is a member of the EDU CUTS network, supported by the British Council through the Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans (CC4WBs) project.
